Client is one of the top insurance brokers in India with an ability to build tailor-made policies as per insurance requirements of the customers.

Business Challenge

• The client had an existing web-based MIS application for their business needs. The client wanted to include some new functionalities in the existing application according to their dynamic business needs.

• The following new modules needed to be added in the existing web-based application:

  • EB (Employee Benefits) MIS

  • Email Scheduler

  • Email Access Permission

• Additionally, the client needed enhancement, maintenance and support for:

  • Existing Non-EB MIS modules

  • Resolving user interface issues

  • Bug fixing of the MIS reports

Technical Requirements

• Solution Strategy

• Eternus Solutions was engaged to develop the new modules and to make enhancements and fix bugs of the existing application as per the client’s business requirements

• Eternus Solutions team carried out a detailed requirement synthesis that involved extensive requirement discussion with the client and the selected end users

• The proposed infrastructure was based on client’s existing technology infrastructure and preferences. Client guidelines were carefully reviewed to analyze and provide precise solutions.

• The following modules were developed to add new functionalities to the existing application:

  • EB MIS: This module consists of functionalities to generate monthly company wise reports, including a list of added and deleted employees for medical insurance, personal accident, gratuity and growth term life related policies. It also provided information about the claims raised by the companies to the client along with the claim status.

  • Email Scheduler: This module is used to send emails to the policyholders as well as client’s executives for:

• Reminders about the policy renewal and non-renewal

• Reminders about the document declaration

• Reminders about the missing contact details or incomplete profiles

• Alert emails about the companies for whom Point-of-Contact (POC) is not configured

• Email Access Permission: This module allows the admin user to configure the company wise and the policy wise email access permissions for the policyholders and client’s executives.

• Besides the above modules, Eternus Solutions team made enhancements in the existing Non-EB MIS module, resolved the user interface issues and fixed the bugs of the managements MIS reports.
