The client was looking for a SharePoint based application that would help its geographically dispersed teams to:
Schedule meetings with or without tasks
Track meetings, MOMs and action items
Create, assign and track tasks list independently or based on action points concluded in a given meeting
Generate reports with multiple dimensions of such tasks
Generate alerts to the intranet/ internet and mobile for tasks
This Meeting and Task Tracking application needed to be available over both intranet and internet.

Eternus Solutions team reviewed the business requirements of the client and worked with the client to implement an intranet and internet based Meeting and Task Tracking application.
Feature mapping with SharePoint 2010 OOTB features: Eternus Solutions team matched the required features of the application with core SharePoint 2010 features.
SharePoint based customization: The requirements that did not fit into SharePoint 2010 OOTB features were then isolated and SharePoint 2010 was customized to implement these requirements. This exercise was carried out during the design phase.
Custom development using .Net: The application had some requirements that have been implemented using the core .Net development and then added as custom developed features of SharePoint 2010.
Smartphone accessibility: The application needed to be accessible on Smartphone based browsers, for which the team leveraged SharePoint mobile sites and made the features accessible on Smartphones.
Dashboard of meeting invites, scheduled meetings, assigned tasks, meeting action items and reminders
List of tasks assigned with completion status
Add existing tasks and MOM items as the agenda
MOM circulation via email and SMS after the meeting
Email and SMS reminders using the integrated SMS gateway
Open items from previous meeting can be added to the agenda of the current meeting using the MOM
Calendar items, action items and discussion notes
Tracking of assigned tasks, MOM and action items
Email notifications for all tasks, events, assignment of tasks etc.
Notifications for acceptance/ rejection of meeting invites
Functionality to re-send, conduct or cancel a meeting
Task creation (with or without references)
MIS reports based on user, tasks, MOM and project based filters
Functionality to create users even after start of the meeting
Agenda items automatically get converted to action items/ MOM items after the conclusion of the meeting
Functionality to send MOM along with action items to participants of a meeting
Multilevel categorization, by department and relevance
Integration with external applications like Outlook and Exchange
Development on developer sandbox
Evaluate and cover requirements using out of the box features
SRS and design documents to start building any new components
